Why we built Top3
Local businesses kept getting the same advice: "optimize your Google Business Profile." They optimized. Nothing moved in the Map Pack. And nobody could prove whether the work they paid for was real. We built Top3 to fix both.
The problem story
Every local SEO consultant told the same story: fill out your Google Business Profile, get reviews, add photos, keep your NAP consistent. Good advice. Necessary advice. But for businesses in competitive markets, it was not sufficient.
The Map Pack has three slots. For any given keyword in any given city, three businesses get those slots and the rest are invisible. The difference between position 1 and position 4 is rarely better photos. It is consistent, unglamorous work — relevance and prominence, built and maintained — that almost nobody actually does.
Worse: nobody could prove anything. Agencies sent PDF reports from rank-tracking APIs. The owner’s own phone said something different. Whether the work was real, whether it was landing, whether the invoice was justified — all of it ran on trust, and the trust was gone.
So we built two things. First, the work itself, done for you: profile completeness, consistent local listings, real content, entity alignment — the white-hat deliverables Google’s own guidelines describe. Second, a way to prove it that doesn’t ask for trust: real phones, organized by US city, that search your keyword the way a customer would and photograph what they see in the Local Pack. Not bots. Not VPNs. Not API proxies.
The proof, in numbers
Each phone is a real consumer device — the same models your customers carry — on a real US carrier network in a real city, geo-pinned to your market. The fleet’s only job is measurement: run the query a customer would run, photograph the answer, date-stamp it. That is what makes every number on this site checkable instead of claimable.
Our measurement standard
We do not use API calls or screenshot tools to measure Map Pack position. We measure from real devices in real locations because that is what your customers see. A device in downtown Denver sees a different Map Pack than a device on the edge of the metro area. We map your coverage by measuring from multiple real devices, geo-pinned to your city.
This is how we can show you exactly where you rank before you ever pay. There is no ambiguity and no PDF to trust — just a dated screenshot from a real phone of your actual Local Pack position.
The commitment
Start with a free proof screenshot — no card, no account. You see your real, current Google Maps rank before you decide anything. If you want us to move that rank, Growth doesn’t charge your card until a device-farm screenshot shows you in the Google Maps top 3 — however long that takes. If it never happens, you’re never charged. Starter is billed immediately at checkout instead. Every recurring capture lands in your keyword portal, dated, so you can watch the work land instead of taking our word for it.
The measurement standard is what makes that possible: real-device evidence removes the argument. You can check everything we claim.
See exactly where you rank on Google Maps right now.
Growth is free until you're in the top 3, card required, never charged early. Starter is billed immediately.
